  Outlook Pops to Exchange on Outlook 2003  

These steps will allow you to access your old Outlook e-mail once you have setup Outlook for Exchange.
  1. Select File and click on Data File Management...

  2. Click Add to select your old Outlook.pst file.

  3. If you are migrating from Outlook 2003 or better, pick the first option Office Outlook Personal Folder File if it is an older version, select the second option.

  4. Select the file Outlook.pst.  If you have moved this file at any time you may need to browse to it.

  5. A dialog will come up with settings for your old .pst file.  Change the name field to Vandalmail. Click OK to continue.


     
  6. You should see the Personal Folders listed now.  Click on Close to return to Outlook.

  7. In your Folder list, you should now see a new section for Personal folders, which will have all of your old e-mails.

  8. To move the pre-created folders Inbox, Sent Items, Drafts and Tasks please see step 9.  For custom folders you drag them from your Personal Folders list up to your new Exchange account at the top of the list.
     
  9. To get messages from your old Inbox, Sent Items, Drafts or Tasks to your new one you will click on the old version of the folder, and then go to "Edit->Select All" this will highlight all the messages.  Go back to "Edit->Copy" and then click on the new version of the folder.  Finally go to "Edit->Paste" to move them.
