  UI Packaged Software  

WARNING: Software available on this web page has been specifically packaged for use by University of Idaho staff and faculty. Most of the installers have been configured to auto install software with UI settings.

Click here to learn how to install the UI Local Certificate Authority certificate.  This certificate resolves the security warning notices when downloading the software.  It is highly recommend to install this for your browser.

WARNING: some of the applications listed are restricted downloads.  You will need to enter your UI account credentials when prompted.

Microsoft Software
The University of Idaho has a campus agreement with Microsoft to provide copies of Office 2007 and Windows XP Professional for all campus computers, full-time board-appointed employees and enrolled students.  To download the software please login to the e-Support web page at http://support.uidaho.edu/.

Outlook 2003/2007 Automatic Setup
To experience full Exchange functionality, you must use Outlook 2007 or 2003 on a computer running Windows Vista Service Pack 1/XP Service Pack 2. If you are using an older version of Outlook, or an older operating system, you must connect via IMAP or POP. Outlook 2007 is available for all full time employees from the http://support.uidaho.edu/.

To start your automatic setup for Outlook 2007 or 2003, make sure to exit Outlook and then download the file below and run it on your computer.

Sophos Antivirus
To download Sophos you must visit the ITS Account Management web page located at http://support.uidaho.edu/

VPN Client Software
The VPN Client software allows secure encrypted network connections directly to the University network.  Please only install this software if you are instructed to do so.  Access to the VPN server is restricted.
Brio Insight
Brio Insight is a client-side tool needed for executing queries from the Brio On-Demand Server. In order to successfully execute queries using this tool, an account must be requested for, and created on, the Brio On-Demand Server.
Oracle Instant Client
Oracle Instant Client software with ODBC and SQL*Plus.
Secure Access
A secure connection is required to access UI data from off-campus. Secure connections include, SSH, SFTP, and SCP. These protocols encrypt all network communication between the client computer and University servers.
